The Lattice Building

Commercial

West Loop, Chicago, United States 41°52'59.4"N 87°38'57.7"W 15,920 m² 2012 - Completed

The Lattice Building is a stacked glass volume whose shifting boxes create terraces, setbacks, and planted roof edges. A fine metal grid gives the facade clarity while reflecting the surrounding towers, allowing the building to feel both solid and dematerialized. The project uses depth, transparency, and greenery to break down the scale of the block and bring pockets of landscape into a dense commercial district.
